A Natural way to look and feel years younger. . . .

How does it work?

Acupuncture points on the face, as well as specific points on the body, are used to support the functioning of internal organs according to your individual needs.

The treatment stimulates collagen production to help reduce lines, reduce sagging and bags under the eyes and improve lacklustre skin.  It can also be used to treat acne, scars and medical conditions that affect the face, such as stroke or Bell’s palsy.

Who would benefit from Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture?

Anyone wishing to look and feel younger and anyone wishing to slow the aging process.

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is suitable for those with deep wrinkles, fine lines, bags under the eyes, sagging, puffiness, drooping eyelids, double chin, large pores, dry skin or acne.

Different points are stimulated according to your individual requirements. A person with excessively dry skin for example, would require a different treatment to someone with excessive puffiness.

What is the course of treatment?

The first treatment lasts 1¼ hours and includes a discussion of your overall health. Subsequent treatments last 1 hour.

Only the best, specialised, hair-thin needles for facial acupuncture are used to ensure the treatment is as effective and comfortable as possible.

The treatment also includes facial massage and/or facial acupressure which augments and reinforces Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture treatments. Most people find it a very relaxing and rejuvenating treatment.

Number of sessions

A course of treatment usually consists of 10 to 15 treatments administered once or twice a week, depending on the age and the condition of the skin. Each person responds differently depending on his or her health and lifestyle prior to treatment. Following the initial course of treatment, monthly maintenance sessions can prolong the results.

How can I help?

Your practitioner may recommend some facial, breathing or relaxation exercises, self massage or dietary support for you to include in your daily routine of health and skin care.

Are there any risks?

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a safe treatment. On occasion, there is a minor risk of local bruising which should disappear within a few days.

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is not suitable if you currently have:

  • a pituitary disorder
  • a heart condition or a pacemaker
  • diabetes mellitus
  • high blood pressure
  • problems with bleeding or bruising
  • migraines

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture should not be done during pregnancy, during a bout of cold or flu, during an allergic attack or during an acute herpes outbreak.

Does it really make a difference?

See before and after photos on our blog.

The use of Acupuncture in cosmetology –especially in preventing and reducing wrinkles – is growing in Japan, Hong Kong, and the USA and is now attracting more and more attention in Europe. The effectiveness of Acupuncture is due to its direct manipulation of the body's energy, removing blockages or adding energy when necessary.

According to a report published in the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture, among 300 cases treated with Facial Acupuncture, 90% had marked effects with one course of treatment.

The effects included: the skin becoming delicate and fair, improvement of the elasticity of facial muscles and levelling of wrinkles, a ruddier complexion, and overall rejuvenation – not confined to the face.

Endorsed by Hollywood celebrities, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a safe beauty treatment and a kinder alternative to Botox or fillers.
