On the day of your appointment please be aware that we need your body temperature to be as stable as possible

At least 2 hours before your appointment:

Please make sure that you are not wearing the following on the day as they can interfere with the results.

During your appointment

A patient being screened

To allow your body to acclimatise to room temperature, you will need to remove jewellery and disrobe as appropriate. A gown will be provided. Your thermographer will go through the forms that need completing including your relevant medical history. Prior to taking the images, you will be shown and talked through the process.

There is no contact, radiation or pain!

You will be requested to sit or stand and once the camera is ready you will be asked to remove your gown and take your position. The thermographer will again talk you through the correct positions to get a good image. When the images have been taken and you are dressed, your thermographer will talk you through the images that are being sent. This appointment will take between 30 and 45 minutes.

Your thermographer is not qualified to diagnose so can not discuss the images in detail.

What happens next?

An example of the reports sent back

Your images are sent to medical doctors, fully qualified and trained in Thermology, to be reviewed. Once this report has been received, you will be contacted for a review appointment. Here, you and your thermographer can then discuss the findings and any steps which may be applicable. This appointment may be conducted at the clinic or via telephone and email, whichever is most convenient.

Breast Screening - 3 Month Review

It is very important to do a review 3 months after the 1st scan. We use these 2 scans to establish your unique thermal “signature” or pattern, i.e. a base line for comparison with future scans to ensure the highest accuracy.

You will be contacted after 3 months to arrange this. This is included in Half and Full Body scans with breast Screening.

Prices

All prices include your scan, report and an appointment to review your report either at the clinic or by email and phone.

Half Body and Full Body scans which include Breast Screening also include a 3 month review scan.

If you are not sure what kind of scan you require, please discuss this with our thermographer.
